Arrival
Staff supervision of students begins at 7:30AM. Children participate in walking club until it is time to line up on black top area.
Dismissal
Students are dismissed promptly at 2:15PM (12:00PM on Wednesdays and monthly PLC Thursdays) and should leave campus upon dismissal.
Student Pick-Up
Please meet your child on the black top area, gate on Wilson Avenue, or main school entrance on 35th Street. Cars are not to enter the parking lot at any time. Please ensure the safety of all students by not parking in the bus loading area on 35th Street. Children should only cross the streets on the corners and check for traffic on both directions. We have portable school crossing signs and gate supervision to help with safety.
Specific dismissal procedures vary by grade level, as indicated below:
| Grades TK-1 |
Parents must pick up students from their classroom or an area designated by the teacher. Please talk to your child's teacher about dismissal area. |
| Grades 2-5: |
Teachers dismiss students from the classroom and they are to leave campus via the front entrance on 35th Street or at the Wilson Ave. gate. If they are responsible for a younger student, they must pick them up and then promptly head home. |
| PrimeTime Extended Day Program Students: |
All PrimeTime and licensed day care program students are dismissed from their classrooms and sent to cafeteria for check in. Kindergarten students are picked up at their classrooms by a PrimeTime staff member. Primetime can be reached at 619-874-1361. |
If you are more than 10 minutes late to pick up a student, please go to the front office. You may be asked to provide identification. Please review the Visitors Policy page for additional information.
