Calling all Parent, Community, Intern Volunteers!
San Diego Unified has a new policy regarding volunteers Categories. There are 4 Categories: A, B, C, D. Most of our volunteers will operate in Category B. Learn more about the Volunteer policy here: https://sdusdfamilies.org/volunteer-2/
We have a many ways that you can contribute to our learning community through volunteerism. Please fill out a Volunteer Packet to become approved - it requires the following:
- Volunteer form completed
- Driver's License copied
- TB negative test results or waiver form completed by a medical provider

Ways to Volunteer at Edison
- Classroom help (prepare art supplies, cut, organize, clean)
- Field trip chaperones
- Performances or decoration setup
- Special events (Turkey trot, Christmas gifts, 5th grade promotion, Reclassification)
- Noon duty supervision (Paid option available for those cleared)
- Committees (SSC, ELAC)
- Morning and afternoon traffic monitoring
- Book organizing
- Bulletin board creation
- Media and marketing (pass out flyers, website)
